If you're a sports fan looking to enjoy a game with fellow enthusiasts, this is the place to be. We stopped by for dinner after a hike, and it was packed with people wearing orange! We were fortunate to find the one table that was open and got seated fairly quickly. There were TVs showing the game everywhere, so every seat offered a good view. However, if sports aren't your thing and you're hoping for a nice, quiet dinner where you can chat, it's best to check the sports schedule and skip this spot. It was difficult to hold a conversation with all the fans and their emotional outbursts. LOL. The service was slow but friendly whenever a server came around. The food was pretty good. We started with Gene's Wings, accompanied by traditional hot sauce and Thai garlic sauce. The wings were tasty but quite small, so if you're hungry, don't just order six. The hot sauce was as expected and delicious, but I wouldn't recommend the Thai sauce. I'll skip that one next time. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, while my partner chose the Chicken Pot Pie. The burger was decent but not remarkable. I often know a burger will be average when they don't ask how I want it cooked--it's usually just smashed and well done. On the other hand, the pot pie was excellent and a generous portion. The crust wasn't overly sweet, and my partner, who is quite particular about pot pies, really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a good experience, and we'd consider coming back if we're in the area.

Convenient "sports" bar location for a lot of Hardin Valley that wasn't too crowded during a typical weekday dinner time. Was hesitant at first with reviews of the burger sizes, but they are standard size and definitely not small. The single patty options are good size and prices appropriately. Service was quick and attentive and we enjoyed our date. Only food critique is the onion rings were under seasoned and just seemed slightly plain.

I was driving with my pup to Nashville from eastern Tennessee and needed something fresh to eat. This place had the perfect patio seating in the sun for my dog to rest and for me to enjoy my road-trip fuel. Our hostess kindly brought a bowl of water for my dog immediately after seating is. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad which is served in a generous portion with a heap of chicken tenders on top. It was the perfect road trip lunch after eating greasy food all weekend while out of town. My husband ordered the double dog which came with a variety of optional toppings on the side. It was easy to take the leftovers (second dog wrapped in foil) in the car to enjoy later. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area with my dog again!

Good place to watch football Great food! Great bartenders. Always a predictable good experience.

I loved my evening at Double Dogs! Good food, good friends and great service! Connor, our waiter, was excellent! He was courteous, attentive and friendly! He helped to make it a great evening! In addition, the host who walked us to our table was courteous and friendly as well! I was visiting the area and couldn't have chosen a better restaurant to visit! If you are in Knoxville, Double Dogs is the place to go!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Double Dogs. We arrived a little after happy hour ended, and we were able to sit right away since about half of the seats were open. Space is not too high, but not cramped at all. A great neighborhood hangout feel. Our server was there right away and had great advice. She was courteous and attentive the entire evening. Something I am still getting used to in Tennessee after moving up from Miami recently. Personal note to those considering a trip to Miami: incredible food, but for the most part very uncaring people. We had onion rings to start (large portion and a unique crunchy coating), then a Breakfast Dod and a Breakfast Burger. Everything was seasoned well and tasted very good. I was especially surprised by the way the eggs were prepared... perfect over medium so you get the liquid yolk without it all running out onto the plate. Yummy. Everything was delicious with the possible of the slaw which was not for me. It is very unusual with a thousand island base (which was ok), but there was a potent spice aftertaste (nutmeg or cloves). Overall a wonderful experience and we cannot wait to explore more of the menu next time.

Had a wonderful lunch at Double Dogs after church recently. The restaurant was busy, as you'd expect for the time of day, but service was excellent in every way. For my meal, I chose one of the specials - grilled cheese and a bowl of potato & corn chowder. The grilled cheese was great; the bread was perfectly grilled & buttery, with lots of melty cheese. Soup was delicious as well. The rest of our group ordered 2 Bo Burgers, a pepperoni pizza, and chips & queso. Everyone seemed pleased with their food. We all loved that TV's were fully tuned in to various sporting events, including women's basketball. We had a great time, and I'm sure will visit again soon!

10/1/23- first if you want to watch the NFL this place is where you need to be. Walked in and we were greeted by really polite host. We got sat immediately. The table was clean and the atmosphere was lively but in a positive way. We ordered chicken Mac and cheese, hot wings, Bo burger, and stroganoff. The French fries here are always good The stroganoff is soooo good my favorite. If you don't like mushrooms don't order it The chicken Mac and cheese was so good literally taste like franks chicken dip the burger was alright. Our server was a very polite young man he kept the sodas full and constantly asked if we needed anything. All in all the food is not a 5 but service, cleanliness, TVs makes it a 5
